Full List

The Sunpentown Dual-Mist Humidifier with ION Exchange Filter has a sleek design with easy to use control knobs and disperses cool or warm mist, depending on your preference of the moment. The 360-degree adjustable split nozzle offers a bi-directional mist for wider coverage. Perhaps the biggest selling point, though, is the ION exchange filter. It removes scale-forming calcium and magnesium from hard water by demineralizing the water, so you aren’t restricted to using only distilled or filtered water in your humidifier. This then prolongs the life of the generator and prevents white dust particles from depositing into the air.

A common complaint for this humidifier is that water leaks out of the tank. If this occurs, check the size of the washer (o-ring). If it is slightly too big, it will roll on itself when the cap is shut too tightly, so just unscrew the cap, check the washer placement, and screw back on. Also, remember that if you choose to switch from warm mist to cool mist, it will take time for the water to cool as the unit does not actively cool the water. So if you want to immediately switch from warm to cool with no cooling down period, then you will need to empty out the existing warm water and refill with cool or cold water. Otherwise, just wait for the unit to expel all the warm water from the base.

One thing to keep in mind whenever using a humidifier is the type of tap water you have. Almost all humidifiers are tap water safe; however, the harder your tap water, the more white-dust buildup you will get in the room as well as inside the humidifier. If this happens, simply switch to filtered or distilled water.
